Regenerative agriculture is the key to eco-system health and climate resilience
Our section of 神の川(gods river) and Kyosei Farms’ head of security, Lucy
Kyosei Farm shimanto’s Japanese regenerative agriculture system is primarily based on the philosphy and structure of John Kempf and his company “Advancing Eco AG” also takes inspiration from permaculture, organic agriculture & natural farming ethods. Although we draw inspiration from all of these in our regenerative model, regenerative agriculture’s focus on improving total ecosystem health shows the most promise to combat the dire problems of ecosystem, climate and human health that we are currently facing. We are passionate about this approach because we believe it is the best way to create a more sustainable and equitable food system. With your purchase of our products, you are supporting not only your own health but the health of our local ecosystem. Our farm is located on the riverbanks of gonogawa (tanslation = gods river) a pristine tributary of the Shimanto River, the last pristine river in Japan. We are committed to stewarding the surrounding environment and our regenerative agriculture practices ensure that erosion and agriculture runoff do not occur, and all water that flows through our farm is cleaner than when it arrived. We believe that by working together, we can ensure that the Gonogawa and the shimanto river remain a healthy and vibrant part of our community for generations to come.
As we embark on this journey, we invite you to join us. Let’s sow the seeds of change together and create a future where regenerative agriculture becomes a win win for humans and their surrounding environment, nurturing both the land and its people in harmony with nature.
